
3 More PRs On Day 2 of Weekend Meets

A day after setting a PR in the 200, Trei Thorogood did it again in the 100-meter dash at Florida State. He crossed the line in 10.51 seconds to set a new career best mark, taking third in the event in the process.
His PR was part of five set by the Orange on the weekend between the Raleigh Relays and FSU Relays.
Xayvion Perkins set a new PR in the 400-meter hurdles with a mark of 52.30 seconds, which placed him second behind Florida State's James Rivera (51.51). Teammate Elijah Mallard (52.47) was not far off in his collegiate outdoor debut, taking third.
Kaleia Arrington took 12th in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 12.32 seconds, setting a new personal best.
In the 110-meter hurdles, Anthony Vazquez (14.31) led four Orange inside the top-six. He took third, followed by Emanuel Joseph (14.40), David Peters (14.68) and Naseem Smith (14.70).
Shaleah Colaire ran to a time of 13.83 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, which was good for seventh. Kirstyn Schechter and CJ Fox took 10th and 11th in the field behind her.
Schechter then came back in the 400-meter hurdles and took ninth in 1:03.75.
The Orange closed the meet in the 4x400-meter relay. The squad of Thorogood, James Nmah, Perkins and Mallard finished in 3:15.85, taking fifth.
In Raleigh, the Orange saw five women take on the 5k. Ivy Gonzales was the top finisher in 16:49.45, followed by Shona McCulloch (16:51.39), Olivia Joly (17:00.70), Sydney Nowicki (17:12.45) and Reilly Zink (17:30.58).
Silas Derfel raced in the 10k, finishing in 29:40.50 to lead the way. Teammate Jack Whetstone set a new personal best in the event, crossing the line in 29:50.18.
Caroline Kirby (4:43.66) also raced in the 1500-meter run.
The Orange continue their outdoor slate next weekend at Texas for the Texas Relays, which begin on Thursday.
