Men's Rowing Ranked #4 in Latest IRCA/IRA Poll

The Orange held steady at No. 4 in the second IRCA/IRA Varsity 8 Poll of the season, announced Wednesday. Syracuse was ranked #3 in the preseason poll and moved to #4 in the first regular season poll despite not yet racing.
Syracuse's varsity eight opened its spring the season going 2-1 at the Pac-12 Challenge in Redwood City, Calif., this past weekend earning wins over #12 Wisconsin and #6 Northeastern. The Orange lost to defending national champion and No. 1 crew California on Sunday by 5.9 seconds.Â
The Orange look ahead to this weekend's Goes Trophy race in Ithaca, N.Y., when Syracuse lines up with No. 12 Cornell and No. 21 U.S. Naval Academy at the Cayuga Lake Inlet. Fans planning to attend can view the races from the Cayuga Waterfront Trail or the Collyer Boathouse.Â
