
Hayles Jumps Into Top-10 Nationally

Jaheem Hayles continued his excellent track season, moving into the top-10 nationally in the 110-meter hurdles. Hayles' performance headlined the Tom Jones Memorial for the Orange, which wrapped up on Saturday.
Hayles posted a time of 13.49 seconds in the final of the event. The mark was 0.05 seconds off his career-best time, which he set at last year's NCAA Championships, where he took ninth. He was third overall in the meet, behind Devon Brooks and Dylan Beard, who now hold the top-two times nationally. Emmanuel Joesph (14.31 seconds) and Anthony Vazquez (14.46 seconds) also raced.
Shaleah Colaire (13.83 seconds) was 30th in the 100-meter hurdles, where CJ Fox (14.67) and Kirstyn Schechter (14.79) also raced.
Trei Thorogood turned in a new personal best time in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 10.48 seconds.
The team will be at a pair of meets next weekend, racing at the Wake Forest Invitational and Bobbi Palma UAlbany Spring Classic.
