SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse comes in at No. 3 in the final ILWomen/IWLCA poll released on Tuesday, May 30. The Orange finished the season with an 18-3 record and advanced to the national semifinals for the ninth time in program history.

Syracuse earned 297 points in the poll. National champion Northwestern earned all 13 first-place votes and 325 points to take the top spot. The Wildcats finished the season with a 21-1 record, with their only loss coming against the Orange in the season opener. Boston College was second with 312 points. Denver (288 pts.) and North Carolina (268 pts.) round out the top five.

The Orange, under the direction of second-year head coach Kayla Treanor, tied the program record for longest winning streak by winning their first 15 games of the season, marking the best start in school history. Syracuse's 18 wins are its highest total since the 2016 campaign when it won 19 games.

Four of the top 10 teams in the final poll are from the ACC. Syracuse posted a 9-3 record against teams that were ranked in the top 25.
