'Cuse Rowing to Launch Season at Head of the Charles

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 2023-24 Syracuse women's rowing season will include two fall events and a full slate of races in the spring. Sixth-year head coach Luke McGee's squad includes 36 returning student-athletes from the 2022-23 team that placed 13th at the NCAA Championship and took second at the ACC Championship. The Orange have earned invitations to six of the last seven NCAA Championships.
The Orange will launch the season on October 22nd at the Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass. and will race at the Cornell Autumn Classic in Ithaca, N.Y. on November 4th.
In the spring, the Orange will race the University of Virginia in a scrimmage on Thursday, March 16th in Charlottesville, Va. The 2024 regular season slate includes the ACC/Big 10/Ivy against Penn, Indiana and Rutgers, races against Yale and Cornell in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., races against Cal, Oregon State and Stanford in Lake Monticello, Va., and the Lake Wheeler Invitational in Raleigh, N.C. The ACC Championship will be held in Raleigh, N.C. (April 26-27) followed by the NCAA Championship in Cincinnati, Ohio (May 31-June 2).
