Orange Travel to Wake Forest Thursday

Syracuse (12-2, 2-1 ACC) travels to Winston-Salem, N.C., to play Wake Forest (4-11, 0-3 ACC) at 11:30 a.m. for Kids Day on Thursday, Jan. 11. Fans can tune in live on ACC Network Extra online or through the ESPN app with Evan Lepler and Stann Lewter on the call.Â
Syracuse leads the all-time series 8-3 and is 1-0 against WFU during the Felisha Legette-Jack era at SU. Last time the two met, it was the first meeting between head coaches Legette-Jack and Megan Gebbia when 'Cuse won, 76-58, at the JMA Wireless Dome. Wake Forest has won each of the last two games played at LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem.Â
The Orange are coming off a 71-64 home win over Boston College on Sunday night. Dyaisha Fair led the team with 21 points and six assists while freshman Burrows and career highs in points (17) and rebounds (8) off the bench. The win improved Syracuse's record to 9-0 at home for the second-straight season.Â
Fair enters Thursday's road game 35 points shy of 3,000. The fifth-year guard is set to become just the 16th Division I women's player to reach the milestone and 26th DI basketball player (10 men's players have reached 3,000).
Syracuse's front court of freshman Alyssa Latham and junior Kyra Wood average a combined 16.2 rebounds per game. Latham leads the ACC in offensive boards per game and ranks sixth in total boards while Wood is ninth in rebounds making Syracuse the only team in the ACC with two players in the top-10 in rebounding.Â
Wake Forest enters Thursday's game on a three-game losing streak in ACC play. The Demon Deacons lost, 77-47, at Miami in last Sunday after back-to-back losses against Associated Press Top-25 teams in #13 Virginia Tech and #22 Florida State.Â
Tip-off vs. the Demon Deacons is set for 11:30 a.m. at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Fans unable to attend can stream the game online.Â
