HAMDEN, Conn. – Syracuse University women's ice hockey lost 4-1 against No.10 Quinnipiac on Saturday evening at M&T Bank Arena.
Syracuse (2-5-0) scored first as Rylee McLeod netted her second goal on an assist from Charlotte Hallett. Allie Kelley set a new season high for total saves in a game, tallying 43 tonight, replacing her previous highwater mark of 41.
No. 10 Quinnipiac (6-2-0) had two powerplay goals that were both scored by Maya Labad. She also scored an additional even strength goal in the second period. Late in the third period, Kahlen Lamarche launched the puck in the net to increase the Bobcats lead. Goalkeeper Felicia Frank finished the game with 21 saves.
How it Happened
We Battled hard tonight. Quinnipiac is a fantastic team and I thought we did a great job disrupting their offence and making them earn their ice. We made some adjustments and the team executed really well. It was nice to see us generate more offensively tonight and put together a complete 60 minutes.
