11/9/2024 11:13:00 AM | Women's Basketball
Syracuse women's basketball returns to the JMA Wireless Dome for their second game of the season against Saint Joseph's on Nov. 10 at 2 PM. The Orange look to win their 28th consecutive home non-conference game Sunday afternoon. The game will be streamed live on ACCNX with Adam Gotkin and Austin Barach on the call while Maria Wainscott serves as a sideline reporter. Fans can watch through the ESPN app or on ESPN.com.
It's GIRL SCOUT DAY in the Dome, there will be activations throughout the JMA Wireless Dome as we welcome Girl Scout troops from across Central New York to Sunday's game.
SU enters the matchup with SJU after a 108-84 win over Niagara Tuesday. Kyra Wood had a career-high with 19 points in a night that saw six Orange players score double-digits for the first time since 2021. Seven 'Cuse players made their regular-season debuts, highlighted by Dominique Camp's 10 point, nine assist performance in her first SU game after missing the entirety of last season with a knee injury.
Saint Joseph's visits the Dome after setting a program record for margin of victory with a 102-30 victory over Goldey-Beacom in its season opener. The Hawks had six scorers in double figures in the contest, highlighted by a 22-point performance by Mackenzie Smith and a pair of double-doubles from Laura Ziegler and Talya Brugler.
The Orange and the Hawks will meet for the fifth time in history this Sunday. Syracuse has won all four previous contests, most recently a 64-62 win that saw Brittney Sykes win the game for the Orange on a buzzer-beater layup. SU rallied back from a 14-point deficit in the game to keep the perfect record against Saint Joseph's alive.
Fans unable to attend the game can stream live on ACC Network Extra online or through the ESPN app. Live stats will be available on cuse.com.
