
Cutler-DeJesus Earns CSC Academic All-America Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse men's soccer graduate student Andre Cutler-DeJesus has been named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Second-Team Academic All-American, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon. The defender joins Gabriel Gervais (1999, 2000), Eric Chapman (2001, 2002), Hendrik Hilpert (2016-2018), Max Kent (2021), and Gabriel Mikina (2023) as the only players in program history to earn the honors.
Cutler-DeJesus is completing his Master of Science in Finance and has a 3.70 grade point average. He alongside teammates Michael Acquah and Daniel Burko were named CSC Academic All-District on Nov. 19.
Cutler DeJesus joined the Orange ahead of the 2023 campaign, playing in 18 total matches across his two seasons in Central New York. Prior to coming to Syracuse. The Mamaroneck, N.Y. native spent the 2021 and 2022 campaigns at Marist College, where he recorded 33 appearances with 30 starts.
This past season, Cutler-DeJesus was a key contributor to the Orange backline, going the distance in 12 of his 17 appearances. His 1,439 minutes on the pitch were second on the team, just behind Tomas Hut's 1,460 minutes in goal. The defender also added one goal and one assist through the slate.
