#19 Syracuse Travels to Miami Thursday

The 19th-ranked Syracuse women's basketball team (20-4, 10-3 ACC) travels to Coral Gables, Fla., to take on Miami (16-7, 6-6 ACC) on Thursday, Feb. 14, inside the Watsco Center. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX), which fans can stream online or through the ESPN app.

The Orange enter Thursday's contest on the heels of a come-from-behind victory over then-ranked No. 15 Louisville inside the JMA Wireless Dome last Sunday. Dyaisha Fair hit two game-winning free throws with two seconds left in the game to secure Syracuse's first win over the Cardinals since Feb. 9, 2020 and their fourth win over an AP-ranked Top-15 opponent of the season. 'Cuse also defeated Georgia Tech at home last Thursday, 62-59.

Miami faces the Orange after a win of their own over Georgia Tech, winning 62-60 on the road in Atlanta, Ga. The Hurricanes' last home game was an overtime victory over Clemson, 75-72, last Thursday. Miami's leading scorer Shayeann Day-Wilson scored 17-points in the contest, notching five assists and five rebounds as well.

Thursday will mark the 34th contest between the Hurricanes and the Orange, with their last matchup being a 77-68 victory for 'Cuse inside the Loud House. The Senior Day victory saw Dyaisha Fair (14), Georgia Woolley (14), Kennedi Perkins (13), and Alaina Rice (11) all score in double-figures. Miami leads the all-time series with 22 wins and 13 losses against the Orange, but has lost three of the last four matchups.

Syracuse's last win in Coral Gables was a 69-58 victory behind 14-point performances from both Tiana Mangakahia and Kamilla Cardoso on Dec. 10, 2020. The Orange are 5-12 in away contests, dropping their last game at the Watsco Center, 71-65.
