Orange Out the Dome as #17 Syracuse Hosts Duke Thursday Night

The No. 17 Syracuse women's basketball team (22-4, 12-3 ACC) takes on Duke (16-9, 8-6 ACC) Thursday night inside the JMA Wireless Dome. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. live on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX).

Fans attending Thursday's game are encouraged to wear orange for an Orange Out in The Dome. They can pick up an orange pom-pom to cheer on Syracuse at Guest Services after they enter the stadium.

History could be made on Thursday night as fifth year guard Dyaisha Fair is 26 points away from tying Brittney Griner for 5th all-time on the NCAA Division I women's basketball scoring list.

The Orange head into their final home stand of the regular season ranked 17th for the first time since Nov. 2019. Syracuse was victorious over Virginia last Sunday, 85-79, as Georgia Woolley and Dyaisha Fair combined for 59 points in the contest. Woolley, a junior guard, had back-to-back season highs last week, scoring 26 points against the Cavaliers for her sixth 20+ performance of the season. Fair, a fifth-year guard, had her third 30+ point game of the season against Virginia. Syracuse is on a five-game win streak after the 2-0 road week.

Duke enters the contest following a 70-62 loss to No. 16 Notre Dame on Monday, Feb. 19. The Blue Devils' leading scorer, guard Reigan Richardson, had 23 points in the loss. She currently averages 11.7 points per game. Duke has lost their past two contests, both to ranked opponents (Virginia Tech and Notre Dame).

'Cuse and Duke face off for the 12th time in history on Thursday, night for the Orange Out. The Blue Devils have the all-time advantage, 8-3. Duke has won the last three contests, including last year's 62-50 victory in Durham, N.C. The Orange last won on Jan. 27, 2019, at Cameron Indoor Stadium, 64-55. SU's last home win was the matchup before that; a 68-65 win inside the Dome on Feb. 15, 2018. Syracuse's leading scorer in the game, Tiana Mangakahia (19 points), hit the game-winning three with under a minute to go in the contest. Two of Syracuse's three wins over Duke have come inside the Loud House.
