THE GAME
- It's a championship-weekend kind of turnaround for the Orange as No. 12/No. 9 Syracuse hosts in-state rival Colgate in a Monday night showdown. 'Cuse is coming off a 20-7 win over Vermont while Colgate knocked off No. 4 Penn State in Happy Valley on Saturday.
- Game time is set for 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra with Adam Gotkin and Jesse Cook on the call. Tim Leonard (pxp) and Kyle Fetterly (analyst) have the radio call on TK99/105, Cuse.com, The Varsity App, and TuneIn App, as will WAER.
- Monday will be the second game in a three-game week for the Orange, who also play their first seven games of the 2024 season at home.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE DOME
- As the saying goes, there's no place like home - doubly true when it's the JMA Wireless Dome.
- Syracuse opens the 2024 season with seven-straight games at home - the most consecutive home games to open a season since the Orange moved into the Dome in 1981.
- The previous highwater mark for consecutive games at the Dome to open a season was six to lead off the 2019 season. The Orange went 4-2 in that span, picking off No. 14 UAlbany, No. 15 Army West Point, No. 17 Johns Hopkins, and No. 16 Rutgers along the way.
- Syracuse is 29-3 in season openers at home since the Dome opened.
- 'Cuse is 263-52 all-time in the JMA Dome since the 1981 season after Saturday's win over Vermont. The Orange are 1-0 on the seven-game homestand to kick off the fresh season.

THE COLGATE SERIES
- Familiar foes meet Monday night as Syracuse and Colgate clash for the 63rd time in series history, which dates back to the 1921 season, a 14-3 win for Orange to kick off a six-game winning streak for Syracuse.
- Salt City and Hamilton, New York are separated by just 40 miles, lending to the frequency of the series.
- Syracuse has won seven of the last eight meetings, with the lone blemish a 12-9 setback in February 2019. The Orange dominated the last action with a 21-14 win to open the shortened 2020 season.
-Should Colgate be ranked in Monday's polls, it will be the first meeting as ranked opponents since a 9-7 Orange win prior to the 2015 NCAA Tournament down in Hamilton.
- Syracuse holds a 32-6-1 all-time series lead when the clashes come at home, including a 9-2 mark inside the Dome.
