
Baxter Earns ACC Player of the Week Honors

SYRACUSE, New York – Syracuse senior Maddy Baxter is this week's ACC's Offensive Player of the Week after her performances in Syracuse's wins over UAlbany and No. 9 Virginia. Baxter tallied a career-high five goals to lead the Orange against the Cavaliers.

Three of Baxter's goals came during a 4-0 scoring run that helped the Orange erase an early 5-1 deficit. The Whitby, Ontario native's final goal of the day tied the score at 14-14 as Syracuse went on to the win to remain undefeated in ACC play. The victory was the Orange's third against a top-10 opponent this season and extended the 'Cuse winning streak to four games.

Baxter ranks as one of the most accurate shooters in the ACC, ranking eighth with a .576 shooting percentage. She scored on five of her seven shots in the win at Virginia.
