
Kohl Qualifies for the Paris Olympics

Syracuse rowing alumni Nicholas Kohl '23 is an Olympic qualifier. The former Orange Oarsmen is heading to Paris with the Italian National Team as a member of the men's straight four after winning Tuesday's Final Olympic Qualifier.Â
Kohl sits stroke seat in the men's four, which won by open water sprinting through the 2,000-meter course finish line in 6:00.24. Kohl and his teammates Matteo Lodo, Giovanni Abagnale, and Guiseppe Vicino, beat Switzerland by 2.42 seconds, who also earned a ticket to Paris.Â
Germany (6:04.54), Denmark (6:07.89), South Africa (6L08:45), and Ukraine (6:14.25) rounded out the field.Â
