
'Cuse Duo Named to NCAA All-Tournament Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse graduate students Kate Mashewske and Delaney Sweitzer were voted to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse All-Tournament Team for their performance in the national semifinals against Boston College.

Mashewske recorded 14 draw controls against the Eagles, giving the Orange a 15-5 advantage in the draw circle. Her 49 draw controls and 16.33 draw controls per game during the NCAA Tournament were the most for any player in the nation. Mashewske posted 20 draw controls in the second-round win against Stony Brook, setting a new single-game school record.

Sweitzer made 10 saves against Boston College. It marked the fourth time this season that Sweitzer has posted 10 or more saves in a game. She also had two ground balls and two caused turnovers against the Eagles. Sweitzer and the 'Cuse defense held all three of their NCAA Tournament opponents to 10 goals or less.
