Scouting the Hokies
No. 17 Virginia Tech is unbeaten in 2024, playing to a 4-0-1 record though five matches, including a perfect 3-0-0 at home. Friday's contest will be VT's first ACC match of the season.
Most recently, VT topped Furman on the road, 3-0, earning scores from Ethan Hackenberg, Carter Hensley, and Olafur Floki Stephensen.
Hackenburg, a senior from Pittsburgh, Pa., leads the Hokies with three goals on the season, including one in each of the team's last two contests.
Series History
The Hokies hold a 6-3-1 advantage in the all-time series with the Orange, however, 'Cuse earned a 3-0 victory over Virginia Tech in the last matchup between teams in 2022.
Seven of the ten contests between the Orange and the Hokies have taken place in Blacksburg, Va., the home of Virginia Tech's campus. VT has traveled to Syracuse just three times (2001, 2003, 2016).
