Puck Drop
- It's a busy week at Tennity Ice Pavilion as the Orange are set to host a pair of top 10 opponents over the course of the week, leading off on Tuesday with local rival, No. 6 Cornell.
- Puck drop at Tennity is slated for 6 p.m. for game three at home in a very busy January - the Orange will host eight of their next nine games at home, the outlier being the return trip to RIT for the second series of the year against the Tigers.
- The Orange are coming off a battle against Mercyhurst, which received votes going into this week. Syracuse dropped both, but push the Lakers to the finish in both games, including tying things up midway through the third period on Saturday.
- The sixth-ranked Big Red make the quick drive to Syracuse with an 11-4-3 overall record and are 7-2-3 away from Lynah Arena this year. Cornell is 2-1-1 since the calendar rolled over to 2025.
Can't Score Without the Puck
-Syracuse has won 593 of 1,249 faceoffs this year, achieving a 47.5 win rate and ranking 30th nationally in faceoff percentage.
-Dominance in the faceoff circle has contributed to the Orange's solid defensive performance, ranking 31st nationally in scoring defense by allowing just 2.78 goals per game. Offensively, Syracuse is also ranked 32nd in the nation, averaging 1.91 goals per game.
-Tatum White, Syracuse's co-captain, has made her mark in the faceoff circle, ranking in the top 10 nationally with 266 total wins heading into the week. She is ranked third in the AHA in total faceoff wins as well.
- Nea Tearvonen is also in the top 50 nationally, winning 185 of her chances, good for 42nd in the country and sixth in the AHA.
Skate with the Orange is Back!

- From 1- 3 p.m., Syracuse players will hit the ice to skate with fans.

Drabyk and Canada take Gold
- With the 2025 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship concluded, recent Syracuse signee Ava Drabyk and Hockey Canada won gold, topping the United States 3-0.
- Drabyk and Hockey Canada went untouched through the entire tournament in Vantaa, Finland, going 3-0-0 in Group B play, followed by a 17-0 win over Japan in the quarterfinals, a 4-2 win over Czechia in the semifinals and a 3-0 shutout against the United States to claim gold.
