MEET PREVIEW:
Teams from the Northeast region will compete on Friday, with automatic qualification for next week's NCAA Championships going to the top-two teams in each race. Remaining participants to the NCAA Championships will be made as at-large selections.
The No. 5 Syracuse men sit atop the USTFCCCA regional rankings, entering the race as the highest-ranked team in the meet. Harvard (No. 22 nationally), Iona, Cornell and Yale round out the top-five in succession.
Syracuse will look to continue a number of impressive streaks with its men's program. 'Cuse has reached 16-straight NCAA Cross Country Championships, which is the nation's fourth-longest active streak. A win at Friday's event would also add to its championship haul. The Orange men have won at least one championship (ACC, Northeast Region or NCAA) and/or finished in the top-10 of the NCAA Championships every year since 2009 (excluding the COVID season).
The Syracuse women enter at No. 2 in the region behind Boston College. Providence, Yale and UConn are the next-three behind 'Cuse in this week's USTFCCCA regional rankings.
 Â
MEET HISTORY:
The men look to defend their title at this meet. Syracuse won the NCAA Northeast Regional last season for the third time in four years and 12th time in the last-15 competitions.
The Orange women took second, automatically qualifying for their fourth-straight NCAA Championship. They last won this event in 2023.
