
Syracuse, Wagner Meet Sunday at the Dome

The 3-0 Syracuse University women's basketball team hosts Wagner (1-2) on Sunday at 2 p.m. Fans unable to attend can stream the game live on ACCNX online or through the ESPN app.Â
Syracuse is coming off a 96-72 win over Canisius (0-3) on Tuesday night which saw the backcourt duo of captains Laila Phelia (22 points) and Dominique Darius (21 points) lead the Orange offense. It marked the first 20-point games of their Syracuse careers and the first time two players scored 20-plus points since Sophie Burrows and Georgia Woolley last season against Pittsburgh. Freshman Uche Izoje added 17 points in the win.Â
Darius leads the Orange in scoring this season with 15.3 points per game while Izoje adds 14.0 points. Phelia is SU's third player averaging double figures with 12.3 points per game while leading the team in steals per game with 2.7 alongside Darius.Â
Wagner is led by Lijirin Doyinsola Modesayor who averages 11.7 points per game. She is joined by Keana Foz, who is the only other Seahawk averaging double figures with 10.0 ppg.  As a unit, Wagner averages 65.3 points per game and is shooting 35.7 percent from the field through its first three games.Â
