Orange 2V8 Named ACC Crew of the Week

Syracuse's Second Varsity Eight (2V8) is this week's ACC Crew of the Week (March 25). The Orange earned wins over Michigan, Penn and Ohio State at the B1G/ACC/Ivy Dual in Cherry Hill, N.J., on Saturday afternoon.Â
Senior coxswain April Serrano steered the Orange to victory in the first race of the season, beating Michigan (+6.9) and Penn (+10.41) by open water. Stroke seat Clothilde Marcelot paced Syracuse to victory in the afternoon when the Orange beat Ohio State by 7.9 seconds. Sitting seven seat was Kelsey Boswell while junior transfer Rosie Turnbull was in six. Minaya Bishop, Charlotte Ebel, Georgia Kaufman and bow seat Ella McKinley rounded out the lineup.Â
Syracuse returns to the water on April 5 for the Cayuga Cup in Saratoga, N.Y. The Orange will line up with #6 Yale and Cornell for its annual race.Â
