
Drabyk Earns Fifth AHA Weekly Award

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University women's ice hockey team freshman Ava Drabyk has been named the AHA Goaltender of the Week. The Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan earns her fifth AHA weekly award for her perfect performance between the pipes against Robert Morris last weekend.
Drabyk recorded two shutouts in Syracuse's road sweep of Robert Morris and led AHA goaltenders with a 0.00 goals-against average and a 1.000 save percentage. The netminder made 38 saves in the two contests and leads all Division I freshmen goaltenders with five shutouts this season.
The other AHA weekly award recipients include Penn State's Tessa Janecke (Forward), Mercyhurst's Payten Evans (Defenseman), and RIT's Tilli Keranen (Rookie).
The Syracuse Orange hosts #4 Penn State this weekend at Tennity Ice Pavilion. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday. Both games will be streamed on FloHockey.
