1/20/2026 5:27:00 PM | Track and Field
Jamir Brown earned ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week after handily winning the 60-meter hurdles at the Nittany Lion Challenge on Saturday.
Brown's personal-best time of 7.63 seconds leads the ACC and ranks fifth nationally so far this season.
The NCAA Division III Champion in the 110-meter hurdles and runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles last season as a freshman at Rowan, Brown transferred to Syracuse this summer. The sophomore has won each of the three races he's finished this season, winning the prelims at the Greg Page Relays in his Orange debut in December, and won both his prelim and finals races at the Nittany Lion Challenge on Saturday.
Brown's time of 7.63 seconds cleared the field by nearly a full 0.3 seconds.
He's the first Syracuse track student-athlete to earn the ACC's weekly award on the young season. 'Cuse is back in action on Friday at Clemson's Orange and Purple Invitational.
