
Indoor Season Resumes Saturday

The Syracuse track and field teams return from a month-long hiatus to open 2026 at the Southern Tier Invite.

ORANGE ENTRIES:
Indie Wallace-Persaud and Sierra Joseph will start the competition for the Orange in the long jump at Noon.
'Cuse will get things started on the track at 12:30 p.m. with the first round of the men's 60-meter hurdles. Isaiah Hayes and Tawakal Omar will compete. Emeline Clark, Billie Frazier, Tia Outlaw, Ivana Richards and Peyton Rollins will compete 10 minutes later in the women's event. Those advancing to the finals will race at 2:15 and 2:20 p.m., respectively.
Nasir Adams will be the lone Orange representative in the men's 60-meter dash at 12:50 p.m., but a much deeper field will run for the women at 1:10 p.m. Joseph, Rollins, Wallace-Persaud, Jada Williams and Bianca Williams will compete for 'Cuse. The finals of the 60 will be at 2:25 and 2:30 p.m.
Blake Parker and Hailey Schuemann will compete in the women's mile at 1:45 p.m.
The women's 300-meter run will be at 3:50 p.m. and feature Leah Bello, Clark, Shayla Ford, Frazier, Mia Hernandez, Nicea Jones, Parker, Andrea Pomales, Richards, Nylah Robinson and Wallace-Persaud.
LAST TIME OUT:
This is the second meet for Syracuse this indoor season, having previously competed at Cornell in December. Elijah Mallard broke the school's 300-meter dash record with a time of 33.85 seconds, which was one-of-four event wins on the day.
Omar (60-meter hurdles), Rollins (60-meter hurdles), and Wallace-Persaud (60-meter dash) were the other victors for 'Cuse.
