Muchnick and Vandiver Earn Preseason All-America Nods

Syracuse stars Emma Muchnick and Coco Vandiver earned their second All-America nods of the preseason on Tuesday, garnering Nike Lacrosse Preseason Media All-America honors from Inside Lacrosse.
Muchnick was a second team selection by the publication. She previously was named a US Lacrosse Second Team All-American last week. An All-American a year ago by both US Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse, Muchnick was a First-Team All-ACC selection in 2025, recording career highs with 41 points and 34 goals. She led the Orange in goals last season.
Vandiver also earned third team honors from US Lacrosse Magazine this preseason. In 2025, Vandiver was a US Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention and All-ACC Third Team selection. She had 40 caused turnovers last season, which was second in a single season in Syracuse history.
Inside Lacrosse does not announce honorable mention vote getters for its preseason All-America team. When US Lacrosse Magazine announced their selections, 'Cuse had two honorable mention selections in Kaci Benoit and Caroline Trinkaus.
Syracuse opens the season Friday at 5 p.m. with a major test. No. 7 Maryland visits the JMA Wireless Dome to open the season for both squads. Tickets are available at Cuse.com/Lacrosse-Tickets.
