Jasmyn Cooper and Laila Phelia hit back-to-back three-point buckets to start off the second quarter for SU. Uche Izoje went on a 6-0 run, scoring three field goals in a row for the Orange. Syracuse outscored Boston College 21-5 in the second quarter, giving them a stable 42-21 lead heading into the locker room.Â
Back on the court, Dominique Darius added four points, achieving a double-double in points and assists. Despite both teams trading baskets in the third quarter, SU collected 24 points- the most in a quarter this game. Madeline Potts knocked in a three-pointer from the corner to close out the third quarter as Syracuse held a 66-39 advantage. Â
The bench took over in the fourth quarter for 'Cuse as seven different players put points up on the board. Olivia Schmitt fed a no-look pass to Potts who put up another shot from beyond the arc. Angelica Velez found the net through a crowd of defenders to draw a foul and complete the three-point play in the last seconds of play.
