
#10 Orange Head to ACC Rowing Championships

The No. 10 ranked Syracuse women's rowing team is set to compete in the ACC Championships at Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, North Carolina this weekend. The event will commence on Friday, May 15 with preliminary races followed by the finals on Saturday, May 16.

The Friday prelims will start with the 3V8 launching at 8:05 a.m. followed by the V8 at 8:30 a.m. The 2V8 will follow shortly after at 8:55 a.m. Each boat is seeded fourth.

The V4 will race at 9:20 a.m. followed by the 2v4 at 9:45 a.m. The V4 is the fifth seed while the 2V4 is the fourth seed.

Saturday's racing gets underway at 8:05 a.m. with the 3V8 Petite Final, followed by the 3V8 Grand Final at 8:15 a.m. The 2V4 Petite Final is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., with the Grand Final to follow at 8:40 a.m. The V4 Petite Final starts at 8:55 a.m. and the Grand Final at 9:05 a.m.

The back half of the morning features the eights, beginning with the 2V8 Petite Final at 9:20 a.m. and Grand Final at 9:30 a.m. The V8 Petite Final closes out competition at 9:45 a.m., with the Grand Final set for 9:55 a.m. An awards ceremony is scheduled for approximately 10:30 a.m.

Syracuse is coming off a third-place finish in last year's ACC Championship, with Stanford returning as the reigning champion.
