
#10 Orange Finish Fourth at ACC Championships

The No. 10 ranked Syracuse women's rowing team concluded competition at the ACC Championships at Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday, placing fourth at the event with a total of 103 points.

Stanford took first overall for the second year in a row with 132 points and swept the grand finals. Virginia took second with 118 points and California was second with 108.
Ellie-Kate Hutchinson was named an All-ACC First Team selection while Acorn Cassidy and Katia Ustiuzhanina were tabbed as Second Team honorees.

The Orange raced in the grand finals of every event, one of four programs to send all five boats to Saturday with a chance at a medal.

The 2V4 headlined the day, earning a silver medal with a time of 7:15.490, about a three-second buffer between third-place California and four seconds ahead of fourth-place Virginia. The 2V8 also medaled, posting a time of 6:27.260 coming in behind Virginia and Stanford.

The V8 narrowly missed a medal, finishing fourth with a time of 6:19.830, half of a second behind California. The 3V8 posted a time of 6:44.960 in the finals, finishing fifth. The V4 raced to a fourth place finish, posting a time of 7:17.650, three seconds behind California.

The NCAA Selection Show will air on NCAA.com at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19. This year's NCAA Championship will take place from Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31 in Gainesville, Georgia on Lake Lanier.
