All Five Boats Qualify for Grand Finals at ACC Championships on Day One

The Orange got the ACC Championships started on Friday morning with the preliminary races, with all five boats qualifying for the Grand Finals on Saturday. The event is being held at Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The 3V8 started the morning off with a third-place finish in heat one with a time of 6:37.95, just more than two seconds behind Virginia while Stanford finished first. The V8 was next up, finishing second in heat one against Stanford with a time of 6:15.29. The 2V8 followed up with another second-place finish with a time of 6:21.74.

The V4 launched next, finishing second in heat one with a time of 7:07.280. The 2V4 raced to a time of 7:11.73 to wrap up the day, also finishing second in heat one. Stanford took first in both heats.

The Orange will race in the Grand Finals of each event, starting with the 3V8 at 8:15 a.m., the 2V4 at 8:40 a.m., the V4 at 9:05 a.m., the 2V8 at 9:30 a.m. and the V8 at 9:55 a.m.
