CURRENT INFRASTRUCTURE AND IMPROVEMENTS

“It’s been very exciting (to see the upgrade in facilities). To have the FieldTurf in there now has been a big help to us. Many times, with the Dome being used for basketball, the overlap between the seasons of basketball and lacrosse, we’ve had no facility to go in. Now, to always have the ability to get on 80 yards in Manley has been a big help to us. It’s better than half of the Carrier Dome because we can put the offensive group at one end of the field and the defensive group at the other end (in Manley). It’s been a great help to our program.” “The locker room is fantastic for a lot of reasons. It’s a multi-purpose room for us. We use it to store our equipment, for our guys to shower and get cleaned up in after practice. We use the new locker room for team meetings, scouting, evaluation, film and it’s a place for our players to go before and after practice.”

“Having the ability to practice on the new FieldTurf installed at Manley certainly was an asset to our football team, especially during the later stages of the regular season and in particular, in preparation for the bowl game. It allowed our players to focus and fully exert themselves to their potential without the distractions typically associated with inclement weather." “A complete 120-yard indoor practice facility, and all the amenities that go with it, would be a tremendous boost to our football program, especially in terms of recruiting, where it will serve as a great tool in helping us attract the best players out there. It is a critical need which, when met, would provide our team and coaches with a full-field to practice on without the distractions of weather, scheduling and changeover conflicts. This facility would greatly benefit our team, especially when training and practicing with a full roster, when the additional space is needed."
