Freshman Year: He had eight boards in just eight minutes of action against ILLINOIS-CHICAGO… He tied his previous career highs with six points and eight rebounds versus the BEARCATS … He saw action in 13-of-16 BIG EAST Conference regular-season outings … Onuaku’s team-high eight rebounds against TEXAS TECH made him the first SU freshman to lead the team in rebounding since Demetris Nichols in 2004 … He was named to the BIG EAST Conference All-Academic Team and earned SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll recognition in each of his first two semesters.
