Andrew Cooley returns to the Orange as assistant coach with the women’s team. Cooley spent four years as a member of the men’s teams from 2001 to 2005.
During his tenure with the Orange, Cooley rowed on the varsity eight his junior and senior seasons. He was a member of the junior varsity crew his sophomore season and the freshman crew his first season with the Orange. In 2005, Cooley was honored with the David D. Godfrey Award. The Godfrey Award is presented each year for the oarsman who best exemplifies Godfrey’s outstanding characteristics of leadership, dedication and friendship.
Cooley graduated in December of 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering.
