Punched out three batters in 2.1 innings at the Big Ten/ACC Challenge vs. Rutgers (2/14)... Pitched her second complete game of the season, striking out seven batters and allowing an earned run in eight innings against Indiana (2/15)... High School: A four-year Varsity athlete and senior team captain, Romero served as the left-handed pitcher for the Eaglecrest Raptors through four seasons of high school softball … As a senior, recorded a batting average of .475 while scoring 19 RBI and two home runs for a slugging percentage of .688 and an on-base percentage of .500 … Threw 85 strikeouts from the pitcher’s mound as a senior as well … Scored five home runs and 66 RBI throughout her career, while also throwing a total of 269 strikeouts … Romero led her team to the state championship all four years and served as the pitcher in the All-State game in 2015 …Named the MVP of the USSSA State Championship in 2010, the Firecracker in 2012 and Rocky Mountain Classic in 2013 … awarded All-City honors in 2012, All-Conference in 2012-15, and All-State in 2014 and 2015 … Asked to participate in the TC Sparkler All Star game in 2011, 2012 and 2013 as a left-handed pitcher.
