Primarily responsible for the development of the Orange's pitching staff, Kramer led the development of All-ACC Pitcher Alexa Romero and All-American Sydney O'Hara.Â
Kramer has been an integral part in the development of Romero and the Orange's pitching staff over the last three seasons. She coached Romero to an outstanding freshman season in 2017 where she recorded a 2.79 ERA on the way to being the first Orange player in program history to be named to the All-ACC Freshman Team. Under Kramer's guidance, Romero had a standout sophomore season which included leading the country in strikeouts per seven innings (10.9) which also set a school single-season record. In her sophomore season, Romero garnered NFCA Mid-Atlantic Region and All-ACC honors while being a four-time ACC Pitcher of the Week. Following the conclusion of her junior season, Romero ranks top-10 in 12 different Syracuse categories, including second all-time with 595 career strikeouts.Â
Kramer helped coach USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top-10 Finalist Sydney O'Hara to a historic season in 2017. O'Hara boasted a .476 batting average, .626 on-base percentage and .833 slugging percentage to set new single-season Orange records and lead the nation in on-base percentage. O'Hara led the team with six saves and compiled a 1.86 ERA in her senior season with 32 appearances in the circle. She earned Syracuse softball's first espnW National Player of the Week after hitting fourh ome runs in a single game at NC State to tie an NCAA record. As a whole, the Orange broke single-season records in team batting average (.307), hits (433) and on-base percentage (.388).Â
In 2018, the Syracuse pitching staff combined for a 2.35 ERA with 390 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .199 batting average which ranks third all-time at Syracuse. The Orange's 7.80 strikeouts per game in 2018 set a school single-season record.Â
A standout pitcher at Western Kentucky, Kramer was a top-26 finalist for USA Softball Player of the Year and WKU's first-ever NFCA First-Team All-American honoree. In her senior campaign she also garnered Conference USA Newcomer of the Year, Conference USA MVP and WKU's 2016 Female Student-Athlete of the Year accolades. Her accomplished career also included two all-tournament team selections and three all-conference honors. In 2016, she threw WKU's first-ever perfect game along with three no-hitters on the season and earned Louisville Slugger/NFCA Pitcher of the Week honors. At the conclusion of her senior season, Kramer led the nation in strikeouts, strikeouts per seven innings and hits allowed per seven innings, while ranking second in shutouts.Â
Kramer was WKU's first-ever player drafted by the National Pro Fastpitch, going sixth overall to the Pennsylvania Rebellion where she played for two seasons before concluding her professional carer with the Scrap Yard Dawgs. Â
Kramer earned a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky in 2016.
