While at Syracuse, Borozinski has coached four student-athletes to the NCAA Championship in nine different events. Borozinski has mentored three BIG EAST ‘Most Outstanding Field’ recipients and enjoyed 11 conference event champions. His student-athletes currently hold 10 school records in field events.
Most notably, Borozinski coached Jillian Drouin, a 2007 All-American, a two-time BIG EAST Heptathlon Champion, finalist for the 2008 NCAA Woman of the Year award and an ESPN Academic All-American First-Team member.
Prior to arriving at Syracuse, Borozinski served as a graduate assistant at Nevada-Reno from 1995 to 1997 and was a volunteer assistant at UNLV from 1999 to 2002.
As a student-athlete with the Wolf Pack, Borozinski was the 1994 NCAA Division I National Champion in the decathlon and named the 1994 Big West Male Track & Field Athlete of the Year. He also earned a bronze medal in the 1993 Olympic Festival in the same event.
After his collegiate career, Borozinski trained with Nike for two years under the guidance of Dave Rodda. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1995.
Borozinski, a Scottsdale, Ariz., native and his wife Olga reside in Fayetteville with their sons, Vance and Maxeem, and English Mastiff, Oxo.
