Marcie LaRose is in her second year with the women’s basketball program after joining the athletic department in June 2015. In addition to her day-to-day clerical duties, LaRose assists with the Orange’s recruiting efforts and summer camps.
LaRose began at Syracuse as an instructional assistant in the department of student-athlete development. As an instructional assistant, LaRose educated student-athletes in time management and organizational skills. She also worked with students individually during study table times.
Prior to joining the women’s basketball staff, LaRose was a second-grade teacher in Virginia. LaRose also served as an athletics intern at University of Mary Washington from 2012-13.
LaRose earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood eductation and teaching from St. John Fisher in 2005. She was also a member of the Cardinals softball team in her time on campus. LaRose received her master’s degree in sport management in 2013 from the State University of New York at Cortland, as well.
