Orangemen Crew Heads To the IRA Regatta

Captains Josh Stratton (Hyde Park, NY) and Matt Heumann (Burnt Hills, NY) lead SU's varsity eight from the sixth and fifth seats, respectively. Eric Miller (Syracuse, NY, Henninger HS) will coxswain the varsity eight.
Heat racing takes place Thursday, with semifinals on Friday and finals on Saturday. The Orange have entered boats in the varsity eight, junior varsity eight, the varsity four + (with coxswain), the varsity four - (without coxswain), the varsity pair (or 2 -), the freshman eight and the freshman four +. The only event Syracuse will not row in is the open four +.
At the 2000 IRA regatta, SU's freshman four with coxswain took fifth place in the grand finals. The freshman eight and the varsity four with coxswain advanced to the petite finals.
