Orangewomen Tennis Loses to Missouri

COLUMBIA, MO–The Syracuse University women's tennis team lost to Missouri, 4-3, in the first-ever match played at the Green Tennis Center. The loss snaps the Orangewomen's three game winning streak and leaves their season record at 8-11.
With her win at No. 3 singles, junior Shervin Saedinia (Woodland Hills, CA/Calabasas HS) became the 23rd Orangewoman in the 32-year history of the program to notch 100 career victories.
Junior Masha Kabanova (Moscow, Russia/School #528) rallied after losing her first set, 1-6, to defeat Katka Sevcikova in the next two sets, 6-3, 6-4, to capture the No. 2 singles match.
Next up for the Orangewomen is the Big East tournament which is being held in Miami, Fl. Play begins Thursday, April 18.
