Fans Are Invited to Donate Books for "Success by 6 – Bring on the Books" Campaign

SU basketball fans attending the Orangemen’s game against Virginia Tech on Saturday, January 31 can give children in Onondaga County an early start at reading by donating books to the sixth annual Carrier Dome collection for the United Way "Success by 6 – Bring on the Books!" Book Drive.

The SU women's soccer, field hockey and softball teams will collect the books at the gates of the Carrier Dome. Fans can donate new and gently used books to be distributed to children aged 0-6 in local pre-kindergarten, Head Start, day care, and family care Programs, and Syracuse City Elementary Schools. Books for adolescents up to age 14 are being collected for distribution at before- and after-school programs throughout Onondaga County.

The basketball game features the 20th-ranked Orangemen (13-3 overall, 3-2 BIG EAST) against Virginia Tech (8-8, 1-4). For tickets to the game, call 1-888-DOMETIX or visit www.dometix.com.
