SU swept all three doubles matches to start the competition. Seniors Jessica Schlosser and Marion Charlier defeated Szilvia Szegedi and Amy Molden, 8-4, at No. 3. Senior Trine Lise Juliussen and sophomore Wei-Ming Leong defeated Nida Waseem and Emily Hellberg at No. 1 and freshmen Ashley Lipton and Carolina Huignard defeated Morgan Landes and Allison Ashley at No. 2, both by scores of 8-6.
Lipton earned SU's only singles win, 6-4, 4-6, 11-9, against Ashley at the No. 2 spot. The Eagles won each of the other five singles matches in straight sets.
Syracuse hosts St. John's on Sunday, April 4, at noon at Drumlins.
