Syracuse Fall Race

The varsity four continued its impressive run of races at the Syracuse Fall Race on Saturday.

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The SU men’s rowing team hosted the Syracuse Fall Race at Onondaga Lake on Saturday with the varsity four coming away with first place for the first time this season in a time of 18:36.0.

Right behind the varsity four crew was the Syracuse “C” boat finishing in second place in a time of 19:08.0. The Syracuse “B” boat did not finish the race due to a damaged steering mechanism.

In the final race of the day, the Orange’s varsity “D” boat came away with first place with a time of 19:34.0. The SU “E” and “F” boats finished the race in fifth and sixth, respectively. The “E” boat finished with a time of 19:54.0 with the “D” finishing in a time of 20:07.0.

SU has now completed its fall portion of the season and will return to the water on April 8, 2006 when it takes part in the Ten Eyck Cup in New Brunswick, N.J.
