“We did what we needed to do on both sides today,” said third-year head coach Chris Fox. “We had some special performances that earned All-Region. It was a good experience for us.”
Scull’s time of 30:14.35 yielded a ninth-place finish overall and Northeast All-Region laurels. Sophomore Dan Busby (30:15.60) and graduate Jordan Davis (30:33.15) joined Scull on the all-region team after 11th and 25th-place tallies, respectively.
Senior Kyle Heath finished 26th and traversed the 10 kilometer course in a time of 30:38.45, just shy of all-region recognition by one spot. Sophomore Brad Miller placed 61st with a time of 31:24.25.
Iona’s top finish and Providence’s second-place tally earned the Northeast Region’s automatic berths to the NCAA Championships.
Sang-Bender’s 12th-place finish and time of 21:04.55 garnered Northeast All-Region accolades. Senior Liz Cufari (21:24.35) and freshman Katie Hursey (21:24.40) finished the six kilometer stretch back-to-back at 20th and 21st, respectively, earning all-region honors.
Sophomore Maegan Krifchin (21:48.20) tallied a 41st-place finish and freshman Rebekah MacKay (21:52.65) placed 45th to complete the Orange women’s attack.
