PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Syracuse University field hockey freshman back Amy Kee was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week after her performance in Syracuse's overtime victories against No. 9 Old Dominion and No. 7 Michigan State last weekend. It is Kee's second honor of the season, as she named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Aug. 31

Kee made a key defensive save on the goal line in the 53rd minute to preserve the 1-1 tie and force overtime against Michigan State. She also stepped up offensively, netting the game-winning goal against the Spartans. She also tallied assists in both of Syracuse's wins last week.
Kee is first in the BIG EAST in assists (6), tied for first in assists per game (1.00), third in defensive saves (1), tied for seventh in shots (21), tied for eighth in shots per game (3.5), tied for 10th in points (8).
The Orange opens its BIG EAST schedule on Friday, September 18 when it visits Louisville at 4 p.m.
