
Lindsey Conrad Tabbed BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University field hockey junior forward Lindsey Conrad was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Orange to a 2-0 week with victories against No. 19 Providence and Columbia. Freshman goalkeeper Leann Stiver also garnered BIG EAST Honor Roll recognition for her weekend performances. It is the second conference honor of the season for Conrad, who was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Aug. 31 and the first for Stiver.
Conrad dished out a pair of assists to help lead No. 6 Syracuse to a 2-1 victory against No. 19 Providence on Sept. 26, before posting a hat trick and an assist to propel the Orange to a 6-0 victory against Columbia. She leads the Orange and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with 19 points on eight goals and three assists, averaging 1.90 points per game.
Stiver played the entire 140 minutes of both games in the cage for SU, posting three saves while allowing only one goal and recording her first career shutout. Stiver holds a 7-1 record on the season and leads the BIG EAST with a 0.91 goals against average and a .806 save percentage.
The Orange returns to J.S. Coyne Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 3, hosting Massachusetts at 1 p.m. before entertaining in-state foe Albany on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m.
