Junior outside hitter Noemie Lefebvre was named to the All-BIG EAST second team, the conference announced at the annual awards banquet on Thursday night. It is the first career postseason honor for Lefebvre and marks the fourth-consecutive season that the Orange has placed at least one student-athlete on the All-BIG EAST teams.
Lefebvre led the Orange both offensively and defensively with 360 kills, 3.08 kills per set, 324 digs and 3.77 digs per set on the season. The Terrebonne, Quebec native was named to the all-tournament team or earned tournament MVP honors in all four tournaments this season and was the first BIG EAST Player of the Week.
Syracuse finished the 2010 season just outside of BIG EAST Championship contention at 23-9 and 5-9 in conference play. The team opened the season on a program-record 17-match win streak and finished with its best overall record since 2004.
