Junior outside hitter Noemie Lefebvre earns the first BIG EAST Player of the Week award of the 2010 season.

Junior outside hitter Noemie Lefebvre earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors after leading the Orange to a 3-0 weekend and the Colgate Classic title. It is the first career BIG EAST Player of the Week award for Lefebvre and the first BIG EAST Player of the Week award this season.

Lefebvre set the tone for the Syracuse offense with 43 kills through three Colgate Classic matches, including a career-high 23 kills against Colgate. The Terrebonne, Quebec native also tallied 11 digs during the Colgate match for her first double-double of the season and 37th career double-double. She averaged 3.91 kills and 2.00 digs per set while recording double-digit kills in all three weekend matches.

Lefebvre and the Orange continue their road schedule with the two-day, four-match Samford Tournament in Birmingham, Ala. beginning Friday, September 3.
