SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The fifth-ranked Syracuse men's basketball team opens its exhibition schedule on Tuesday night with Cal State Los Angeles at the Carrier Dome. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Kris Joseph enters his senior season 20 points shy of becoming the 55th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. Fellow senior Scoop Jardine begins the season ranked eighth on the all-time assists list with 438.
CSULA's head coach Stephen Thompson returns to his Alma Mater on Tuesday night. Thompson played from 1986-1990 and was voted to Syracuse's All-Century Team. Now in his tenth year with the Golden Eagles, Thompson is the seventh leading scorer in Syracuse program history. He holds the career mark for games played at Syracuse with 144.
