SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse tennis team will play host to BIG EAST rival Connecticut Friday morning at the Drumlins Tennis Center. The match will be the final regular season match for the Orange and will feature a ceremony honoring the squad's three senior members, Simone Kalhorn, Christina Tan and Jacquelynn Tang. Syracuse is returning from a six-match road swing and will look to reach the 16-win mark for the seventh time in program history. Friday's match begins at 10 a.m. and admission is free to the public.

Home is where the wins are for the Orange this season. Syracuse has gone 9-0 on its home courts at the Drumlins Tennis Center so far this season. The squad is also in the midst of a 21-match win streak on its home turf, a streak that dates back to February 22, 2009.
Syracuse Dominant in BIG EAST Play
The 'Cuse tennis team has been painting the BIG EAST Orange so far this season. The squad has compiled a 7-1 record against conference opponents, including a perfect record against BIG EAST foes at home (4-0). Syracuse began with six-straight wins in conference play against Georgetown (5-2), Seton Hall (7-0), Cincinnati (6-1), West Virginia (7-0), and St. John's (7-0), before losing to Rutgers on the road (3-4) and then rebounding with a win at Pittsburgh (7-0). So far this season, the Orange has outscored its BIG EAST opponents by a 42-7 margin.
Harman, Kobelt Nationally Ranked in Doubles
The doubles duo of junior captain Emily Harman and freshman Maddie Kobelt is currently ranked No. 55 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The pair has been ranked since March 29, when they first appeared in the rankings at No. 32. Harman and Kobelt have a 16-3 doubles record at the No. 1 doubles position, including a stretch where the pair won 10-straight matches.
Marrow Streaking in Singles Play
Freshman Aleah Marrow has been shining for the Orange in singles play. Marrow is hoping to extend a current six-match win streak in singles. The Durham, N.C. native has been playing at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions and hasn't lost a match since the team's road match at San Diego State on March 16. Marrow currently owns the third-best singles record on the team at 14-5 and has compiled a 24-14 overall record for the season.
Syracuse Strong in Singles Play
Singles play has been a strong suit for the Orange so far this season. The squad features six players who have earned more than 13 singles victories this season. Overall, Syracuse is 87-39 (.690) in singles matches. The team has been especially strong at the No. 3 singles spot, where Emily Harman, Maddie Kobelt, Christina Tan and Alessondra Parra have combined for a 18-3 record on the season. Parra has had the most success, earning six wins while playing at the No. 3.
