Lefebvre’s Defense Lifts Canada Past France, 3-1

SHENZHEN, China – Noemie Lefebvre recorded a team-high 14 digs as Team Canada volleyball corralled a 3-1 victory against France in its final preliminary match at the World University Games.

Behind Lefebvre's defense, Canada took a four set decision (27-25, 13-25, 25-19, 25-18). The Syracuse senior captain led the Canadians in digs every match, contributing three digs against Poland and 15 against Chinese Taipei.

Canada finished the World University Games at 1-2 and third place in Group C, failing to reach the knockout stage of the competition.

Lefebvre will now join her teammates for the remained of preseason as the Orange prepares for its season opener at home against Sacred Heart on August 26th.
