SU Soccer Stadium Receives Makeover

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SU Soccer Stadium has undergone a series of upgrades throughout the 2011 men's and women's soccer seasons. Several banners and advertising boards now are in place all around the stadium.
Prior to the first home soccer game on Saturday, Sept. 1, a "Syracuse University Soccer" banner was installed on top of the bleachers. The banner can be seen from inside and outside the stadium.
A series of advertising boards also now border the 120'-by-75' playing surface. Syracuse soccer clubs and team sponsors, such as Nike, are among the many boards that have been installed. There are also two boards highlighting the men's soccer program's 1982 and 1985 BIG EAST Championships. Charles' Signs of Liverpool manufactured the boards.
Both the men's and women's soccer teams will be on the road for the next two weeks. The men return to Syracuse on Wednesday Oct. 12 when they take on St. John's. On Friday Oct. 14, the women's team will host USF.
