Trailing by a goal, the Orange earned three penalty corners in the final minute of regulations, including two that came after time expired, but the Minutewomen were able to fight off the scoring opportunities to hang on for the upset victory.
Manley gave the Orange the lead in the 24th minute when she flipped a rebound top shelf past UMass goalie Sam Carlino off a penalty corner. The freshman's second goal of the season gave Syracuse a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
The 1-0 SU lead held up until UMass' Noralie Weusthuis tipped in a Lauren Allymohamed shot with 13:41 left, tying the game, 1-1.
The goal ended a Syracuse streak of 437 minute and 19 seconds of shutout play by senior goalkeeper Leann Stiver, dating back to Sept. 16 vs. Kent State.
The Minutewomen took the lead just over six minutes later, with 7:05 remaining, when Thando Zono's shot from the right side of the circle snuck inside the left post.

UMass held a 14-9 shot advantage overall, while Syracuse held the edge in penalty corners, 6-4.
Stiver finished with four saves, while UMass' Carlino recorded four stops as well.
